Angel Rodrigue is featuring our May Album Kit today!
--------------------
This month I got to play with the album kit! I just love Pam's Album Kits!! If you have not seen them Please go check them out at My Creative Scrapbook!
The album came with rings and I did not want mine that way so I created a spine and made my own little book. I am going to show you how I did that..
First of all here is the album I did..

The album came with rings and I did not want mine that way so I created a spine and made my own little book. I am going to show you how I did that..
First of all here is the album I did..
To see inside pages go to My Creative Scrapbook Gallery or visit my blog at Scrappalace.blogspot.com.
Here is the Back of the book.
To get started you will need some chipboard and score tape along with some sheets of black Cardstock.
First I cut two pieces of chipboard at 5 1/2 inches x 5 1/2inches and the spine piece at 5 1/2 long by 3 inches wide. I then placed them on my table in the order they will go. Then added score tape on the spine and on the covers as shown here..
Then I cut out a piece of black cardstock about 4 1/2inches wide by 5 1/2 inches to place over the spine and overlapping the covers as shown below. Then folded the book closer to make the crease in the cover. Do not fold the book the opposite way cause it may tear your cardstock.NOTE: I did front and back the same so it can be stronger.
Then cut a piece 2 inches wide by 5 inches long and score at 1/2 inch on each side as shown.then flip over and add score tape to the middle. You will need three of these for your pages..
Before adding the piece above to your spine I covered my whole cover in black cardstock. then I adhered the pieces above in the middle of the spine spacing them out even.as shown below.
Then added score tape on the back flap of each piece as shown below.
Then I covered each chipboard page with black cardstock.
Then I added each page to those flaps above pressing them down to be sure they stuck to the score tape. Once you done it should look like this.
Now you are done with that part of the album and you can now decorate as you wish.. Hope I explained well enough for you to be able to recreate your own mini album..
