Scrap Space Saturday with Jodi Baune

Welcome to Scrap Space Saturday! Today My Creative Scrapbook design team member Jodi Baune is here to take us on a tour of her space.

Here's Jodi:

Welcome to my studio! It is a small room, and when I get deep into a project it can get pretty deep and cramped but, I am very happy to have my own space!

I have a fairly good sized desk. The Clip It Up houses my dies from Cheery Lynn Designs. The little blue tote is ideal for storing my scissors, adhesive, etc at arms length.

This set of shelving works great for me. When I am working, I like easy access to everything, but when the project is complete I can effortlessly tuck everything back in it’s place. The first section houses my computer and scanner. The top shelf has jars of buttons, lace, and twine, along with a basket of pearls and bling. The section on the far end has baskets of flowers, thickers, and adhesive. The little plastic drawers are wonderful for chipboard shapes, charms, inks, and stickles.

I’ve opened the doors so you can take a peek. My rub-on’s are stored in the binders. I just slip them into binder sleeves making handy access, and well as easy clean up!

One of my best investments, and favorite storage solutions is my Ribbon Rings! The little plastic pieces come in two different sizes. Just slip the ribbon through the plastic.

You can hang as many of the little plastic pieces as you want on a ring.

I bought a package of little Command Hooks and stuck them to the inside of my doors to hang the hooks on. I chose to store my ribbons by color so I have a hook for each color. No more knotted up messes. No more dumping and entire jar because the one I wanted was on the bottom. I tried wrapping them around clothes pins but I didn’t like that everything was creased….Now, no more creases! I just grab the piece I need and go!

Another great storage purchase is my Over-the-Door Shoe Organizer. It holds a tremendous amount without taking up more space in my room. I love that it is clear so I can see everything. It holds all my punches, diecuts, pins, and other odds and ends.

The previous owners left this shelf when we moved. It is an old 60’s – 70’s shelf built specifically for storing the old vinyl LP Music Albums . It is 12 inches deep, and the shelf spacing is 13 inches. Perfect dimensions for paper!! It has wooden dividers every 6 inches which is ideal for sorting…an area for cardstock, company papers, kit papers, and scraps!

Thank you for visiting my studio! I hope you enjoyed the tour!

Exactly how I store my ribbons but I make my own little plastic bits to hang the ribbon, I didn't know you could buy them.
