Welcome Our New Mixed Media Team...

My Creative Scrapbook is excited to introduce to you to our new Mixed Media Team. We are growing once again around here with a few new designers and a few not so new designers to bring you the latest tid bits and techniques in Mixed Media. We plan to share tons of  step by step photo tutorials and even  "how to" Videos. We already have the best design team around and with this new addition, we hope to knock your socks off even more.

Helen Tilbury

Hello there.  My name is Helen Tilbury & I live in Durban, South Africa. 

I’m married with four children & three furbabies!

I’ve been scrapbooking for 9 years now & finally got my own studio 4 years ago.

I converted our entrance hall (what scrapper needs one anyway?!) so it’s tiny and top to toe full of stash!

I need to keep good stocks of all my favourite products because I have to shop almost exclusively online as the products I use are not available here.

(That’s my story and I’m sticking with it!)

Sadly scrapbooking here is not as popular as it is in the rest of the world.

Thanks to my blog I am never lonely though as I have loads of online scrappy friends!

I’ve worked for various different companies & challenge sites since I began my online journey & I’ve been published in numerous print & online magazines.

Currently I am designing for Les Papiers de Pandore in France, Berry71Bleu on Etsy, Creative Scrappers Sketch Blog & Purple Pumpkin in Australia.

My style is pretty busy but not overwhelmingly so - it’s a mix of clean lines & layering – Modern Shabby I call it!

White backgrounds & strong, saturated colour represents my favourite pages.

I started dabbling in ‘Mixed Media’ when it first became trendy a couple of years ago and since then have been gaining momentum!

It’s such a fun, artistic expression & I look forward to sharing my creations with you at My Creative Scrapbook as part of the Mixed Media team. 

Marilyn Rivera

Hi! I'm Marilyn Rivera and  I live in Puerto Rico, a tropical island in the Caribbean.  I live with my husband, Israel, and my two teenagers, Alexander and Paola Sofia.   I started in this hobby 5 years ago and I fell in love with it immediately,   It's a therapy for me!

I'm a fashion designer so during the day I'm surrounded by fabrics, sewing machines, threads and dress forms and when I'm not playing with fabrics, I'm playing with papers.  I love to create!

In my pages you will see a lot of techniques that I use for my dressmaking, such as pleating or draping.   I love mixing papers with fabrics, mediums. lace, feathers, paint, and pearls .  I think my style is like a  "modern shabby chic" with lots of layers, distress, textures and dimension .  I'm so happy and excited to be part of MCS Design Team.

Kaori Fujimoto

Hi! My name is Kaori Fujimoto.
I  live in Japan with my  husband  and three children.
I worked as a veterinarian before marriage, I'm  currently  working on a   pathology study  of the animals  now.
I have been scrapping since　2006, as a diary and growth record of my children. I feel happiness when I  see the "diary" with my children.
I love to  add  dimension to a page. I often incorporate  patterned paper to cut out,  various kinds of embellishments, pop-up, several colors mist and ink,  on my page.
