Tips on adding ruffles to your layout by Rachael

Just a simple way to add ribbon onto a circle....
I often add lace or ribbon around the edges of circular elements on my scrapbook pages as I love the extra depth that it adds to a layout..



When I add ribbon onto a curve and want a irregular pleated look I use this simple technique...



Use a fine needle and some cotton and stitch along one edge of the ribbon, stick the end of your ribbon onto the paper ensuring that you catch the end of the cotton into the sticky tape.



Carefully pull the cotton so that the ribbon pleats and secure the ribbon a bit at a time using tape.



To make the ribbon more secure add a line of stitching around the circle.
