Grid Goals and Whimsical Wreaths: Melissa Minor’s Latest with the Main Kit

 Hello, Creative Friends!

We are continuing our look at the March Main Kit with a beautiful, pattern-rich layout by Melissa Minor that celebrates the simple joys of everyday life. This project, titled "Smiles," is a fantastic example of how to use a structured grid to tell a story through multiple photos.

Melissa utilized a dynamic mix of patterned papers from the kit—including soft blue crosses, delicate florals, and classic pink dots—to create a balanced background that feels both playful and organized. This layout is all about the little details that bring a page to life:

  • Layered Embellishments: Large, textured floral die-cuts in sunny yellow and soft pink are clustered with leafy green sprigs to anchor the corners of the grid.

  • Sweet Accents: A charming pink bird and tiny butterfly die-cuts add a sense of movement and whimsy across the design.

  • Heartfelt Sentiment: Just below the bold "Smiles" title, Melissa added a sweet banner reading "isn't life so lovely?" which perfectly summarizes the mood of the page.

Whether you are scrapbooking photos of your children, your pets, or just the moments that make you happy, this layout proves that the March Main Kit has the perfect patterns and pieces to make your memories shine.  Be sure to check out her process here.
