Memories Documented with Claire and the Main Kit

 Hi everyone

It’s Claire with you today, and I have a lovely layout to share made with the October

Main kit.

I’ve always enjoyed a monochrome layout so I decided to pull together some of the

black and white elements of the kit and add a big splash of colour to make the layout

pop!

I split my page in hard (theoretically) adhering a small polka dot paper to the top, and

drawing a scribbly border around it in black sharpie, leaving the bottom half of the

page plain white.

To anchor my photo I cut a large circle from pink patterned paper, layering a

rectangle of the black scalloped paper on top and a border strip across the middle. I

also layered two patterned paper squares for a bit of extra colour and pattern before

finally adding my photo.

I created three small clusters to carry the eye across the page using elements from

the ephemera pack.

For my title, I really wanted to use the black and white ‘documented’ phrase from the

sticker sheet. It’s quite large so I chose to use the negative space at the top of the

page to curve it around the circle, For balance, I then added my journaling around

the bottom.

And with that the layout is complete!
