Creating with Claire using the July Main kit from MyCreativeScrapbook.com

 ello,

It’s Claire here today, creating with the July 2025 Main Kit which is bursting with possibilities!

To create my layout, I started with a sheet of plain white cardstock and the stamps included in the Main kit. I adore these stamps!! There are so many different backgrounds and accents you can create using these, and here, I’ve created a huge burst of colour! And the best bit? There’s no mess like there would be using other forms of wet mixed media!

I opted for the big ink splash stamp, and selected three Distress Oxides to reflect the colours in the collection (one pink, one yellow and one blue).

Starting with the lightest colour first, I began stamping, layering one stamped image on top of the other before adding in additional layers with each colour.

I knew my design would sit in the middle of the page, so layered the ink on either side, creating a circular shape which would frame my design.

I fussy cut the beautiful scalloped paper, and added these vertically to my page raising on foam for dimension and adding black Nuvo Drops down the centre of each to help the colours pop.

I mounted my photos with the aqua patterned paper and adhered these to the centre of the scalloped strips, again raising on foam for dimension.

As the colours and patterns are very vivid, I kept my embellishing fairly minimal, adding a small pink tag and vellum sun to the right of my photo and a small cluster to the bottom left of my photo.

To echo the black Nuvo Drops, I selected a vellum statement for my title. I adhered this with some liquid glue, allowing it to sit proud across my two photos.
