Hi friends,
I am up on the blog today to share a layout I made using to gorgeous November main kit. I was so drawn to this paper when I opened the kit, I knew it was going to be my first layout! Because the paper is so fabulous, I kept the layout pretty simple. I started by making a template to ink inside the ornaments. I measured each ornament and create some circles in design Space and then cut them with my Cricut on white card stock. (See pic).
I placed the correct size circle over each ornament and ink blended them using distress oxides. I kept the ink darker around the edges and lighter in the middle to create depth and give it a 3D look. While the template was still on I splattered some gold paint to give the speckled dimensional look of real ornaments.
My next step was backing the photo and adhering it. I added one simple cluster with the camera, gift and hearts and then the title "Cozy Season", which was so perfect for this picture with my family in Christmas Pajamas. I added a few of the simple word phrases on the ornaments and popped then up with foam dots for depth. I finished by adding my journaling.
I love how this layout turned out and just adored all the gorgeous papers and ephemera in this lovely kit. I hope you have a blast creating with yours and there is something about scrapping Christmas pictures that makes me so happy.
Have fun
Maree
