Hi everyone
It’s that time of year fast approaching and this month I’m feeling festive with the November Main Kit!
Last year, I spent Christmas in the Cotswolds in the UK. It’s a beautiful rural part of the country with period properties, cosy bars and old style shops. It’s a small oasis of calm amongst the chaos of Christmas!
In this photo I’m scrapping, we had found a warm cosy bar and I was enjoying my first mulled wine of the season!
I was immediately drawn to the woodgrain paper and cut this into strips, tearing the edges and adhering to the cardstock on foam for extra dimension.
I mounted my photo on some torn paper with a graph like grid, before layering a strip of red and white striped paper underneath for a bit of extra colour.
I used the Christmas tree, house and street lamp to convey the old world feel of the village, and of course layered those fun mugs along the side of my photo to remind me of the lovely glass of mulled wine.
I added an ephemera title to the top right corner to help balance the layout, layering a wreath and star clip underneath, with a small sticker to act as a subtitle.
To finish, I die cut some stars from the kraft patterned paper and raised these on foam to bring the whole page to life.
Thank you for joining me on the blog today. I hope it’s given you some festive inspiration.
Until next time, happy scrapping!
