Welcome back, My Creative Scrapbook friends! It’s Jinny here today. I trust you all had such fun playing with last month’s Creative Kit. I know that you’re going to love this month’s goodies just as much! I absolutely loved playing with the BoBunny Beautiful Things stamp set in April’s Creative Kit; and while I have only used two of the stamp images on the page that I’ve decided to highlight for you today, please be sure to check out all of my projects to see how I’ve used several more. Without further ado, let’s get started. Shall we?
I started this page by adding puddles of yellow watercolor to the 12x12 watercolor paper, base page and splattering everything with that same shade of watercolor, as well as red and blue watercolors. I then strategically stamped the alphabet image, as well as the seal, in Jet Black ink, throughout the design, before splattering everything once again, but this time with Pure Black and Titanium White acrylic paints. My photos were cut in the shape of a circle; backed with three of the stunning, Simple Stories’ Simple Vintage Linen Market prints, as well as the red cardstock found in the kit; and anchored with white-threaded, straight, machine stitching. That set the foundation for all the scrumptious embellishments I’ve added to my page, beginning with the Simple Stories’ Simple Vintage Linen Market butterfly and floral bits…
continuing to the chipboard…
and cardstock stickers…
and finishing with Celebrating Freedom Glitter Foam Thickers in the “HAPPY 4TH” title. I popped almost everything up with layers of foam tape, just because I like to develop lots of dimension on my pages. Tip: Stickers can be popped up with foam tape simply by adding foam tape to their sticky backs and dusting around the foam tape with baby powder before removing the foam tape’s paper backing. That prevents any part of the sticker itself from sticking flat to your project surface.
That does it, from me, for this month, y’all! Thanks so much for stopping by; and please, be sure to visit the design team gallery, and/or my personal instagram page, for lots more closeups of all of the projects that I have created with this month’s April Creative Kit below.
