Jodi Wilton is up today to walk us through how she designed her Project Life style spread using our February Creative Kit!

Hi everyone! Jodi here today to share with a tutorial on how to use your Creative Kit (or any kit) and turn it into a Project Life Spread. This is my third year attempting to complete a year of Project Life, and yes I have failed each time! I have promised that this year will be different! I have decided to not commit to week by week, but instead a monthly agenda. That month may have a double page spread, or maybe more, if there was a lot going on! This month, I have completed one double page spread, and for this tutorial I thought I would provide some input on how to use your kit and create pocket page layouts!
To start off with I thought I would share the final product, so you can refer back to it:
I started off by cutting up two pieces of my paper in the kit that had 3 X 4 and 4 X 6 cards:
Next up I printed all the photos that I thought I would like to use. I printed some in 4 X 6, 3 X 4, as well as smaller photos to fit on cards. I placed the photos that would take a whole spot in the spot I thought I would like and then filled the rest with the cards that I cut, as well as the Studio Calico Journal Cards that were found in the Kit. I had one spot that didn't fit a card, so I cut a 4 X 3 blue patterned card to fit that spot:
Next up, I wanted to make sure I enough room to journal, I picked two cards to do my journalling.
I thought it was important to add the word title January, so I picked one card on the first page and added some stickers to create the title card:
I then added the smaller photos that I printed, along with the embellishments from the kit to finish off the rest of the cards:
Finally I added little embellishment stickers and washi tape to the photos for some extra flair:
The final product (left side):
Right Side:
Finally once the pages were done (and my design team layout done too!) I cut up all my scrap pieces of paper into 3 X 4 cards and 4 X 6 cards. I am going to keep my sticker sheets and embellishments all together, so if I want to create another page for the month, I have ample of cards to choose from!
I hope you enjoyed my tips and techniques for creating a pocket page this month!
