Meet the Guest Designers For February!

We were so delighted to have 6 Guest Designers for the month of February!  We thought you would all like to take a moment to get to know each of these talented ladies a little better....

Kay Roger (Main Kit)

Hi! My name is Kay, and I’m a scrapaholic. OK, not exactly, but I DO call this hobby my answer to Prozac. I just love to create! I am the mom of 2 girls, Emily who is 24 and teaching Biology in Chicago, and Jenna who is 8 in the 3rd grade. I know, what was I thinking? I’m a high school math teacher, and I also am the club sponsor for our high school photography club. I love working with young people and can’t imagine any other job. I’d like to thank Pam, the DT,  and the amazing community of My Creative Scrapbook for having me as a guest designer this month.

Michelle Fowler (Main Kit)

Hi My name is Michelle Fowler but, most people call me Shell. I live on the beautiful Sunshine Coast on the east coast of Australia.
I'm lucky enough to have the best job in the whole world, being a SAHM to my 2 gorgeous little boys and wife to a wonderful and supportive husband.
I have always been crafty and have tried my hand at lots of different creative hobbies but my absolute favourite is Scrapbooking so much so that, at times its been described as an obsession.
I love the 'me' time it allows and all the wonderful friendships that I've made through the scrapbooking community.
I find it hard to define my style as its always evolving but other people have described my lay outs as clean and bright.
I'm really excited to have been asked to be a Guest Design Team member for the month of February.
I'm so happy and honored to be able to work with such a fantastic team here at My Creative Scrapbook and Im looking forward to getting to know some of the forum members and seeing what every one creates with My Creative Scrapbooks gorgeous Kits.

Sarah Mullanix (Main Kit)
My name is Sarah Mullanix and I live in central Indiana with my husband of
15 years, our 3 kids, and our yellow lab. I have been scrapbooking for 14 years
now, and I've been teaching classes and designing for the past 5 years. I love
everything that scrapbooking has to offer, it is my passion! I enjoy scrapping
pretty much on a daily basis, and I'm lucky enough to have an entire room all to
myself dedicated just for scrapbooking! My style usually involves traditional
designs with added whimsical elements and layering. However, I do love to try
many techniques and various styles on my layouts. I feel very blessed to have
this opportunity to design with My Creative Scrapbook kits, and to have made
so many friends through scrapbooking.
My Blog: Welcome To My Neighborhood

Jeni O'Connor (Limited Edition Kit)
Thank you for the opportunity to share my scrapping creations with you as February's Guest designer. I'm known here as Joc although my real name is Jeni O'Connor. I'm a proud Aussie with a Canadian dh so I get to spend a lot of time in beautiful Canada. We have gorgeous twins, a boy and girl, who are growing up way too fast for me.
I've been a scrapbooker in some form for as long as I can remember. Over the years I've ventured into lots of different craft hobbies but there's something about scrapbooking that stuck nearly 15 years ago. I thought I'd tell you 10 things about me you might find interesting.
1. I asked Santa for my first camera when I was 8 and I still have a scrap book I made when I was 9.
2. I'm a true gemini and always have way too many things on the go at once.
3. I'm a vegetarian.
4. I spent 3 years living/working in a remote part of Australia. Each week our food would be delivered in a shipping container on a barge.
5. I spent time in India working in one of Mother Theresa's leprosy clinics and lived on a commune in Scotland for a while.
6. I've climbed the Anapurna Range in Nepal. While I was there, I remember thinking a short walk was three hours. Now a short walk is to the letter/mail box.
7. When I scrap I like to tell the hidden story in the photo.
8. I always put a black heart on my layouts as a signature to my kids. Sometimes I hide it for them to find.
9. I mostly journal on the back of my layouts.
10. I've been writing about scrapbooking in an Australian magazine, Scrapbook Creations, for the past 41/2 years.
Thanks for the privilege, Jeni.

Cheryl Nelson (Creative Kit)
Hi All!! I'm so excited to be Guest Designing at My Creative Scrapbook this month! My name is Cheryl Nelson and I have been married to my wonderful hubby for 28 years! I am the mom of five beautiful children and the grandmother to two adorable grandsons and one beautiful granddaughter! I started scrapbooking in January of 2005 and have been so fortunate to be on several design teams and published in several scrapbook magazines. I was completely thrilled to have been a finalist in Creating Keepsakes SOY competition. I'm very, very blessed!

Barb Ghigliotty (Album Kit)
Hi, my name is Barb Ghigliotty and I’m from New Jersey. I’ve been married to my best friend since 1975, and we have 2 grown children, Amy and David. My sweet granddaughter Desi, now age 4, is the "Apple of my Eye", and the focus of most of my layouts!
By day, I am a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner in a busy high risk prenatal clinic. After finishing graduate school in 2005, I was looking for a relaxing hobby, and quickly became fascinated with scrapbooking. Suffice it to say, it is now my passion! My favorite style of scrapbooking is “Negative Space Layouts”, but it can change depending on my mood or photos. I love to play with the latest products, and I enjoy experimenting with colors, textures and embellishments. I also enjoy digital scrapbooking, and will sometimes create hybrid pages.
I`m so excited to work with all the talented ladies at MCS, and honored to be a Guest Designer for February. As a member of MCS, I have really enjoyed all the beautiful kits Pam has put together for us, and admired the amazing layouts and projects posted in the gallery! I look forward to getting to know everyone a little better, and sharing my creations with you!

Tomorrow is Reveal Day at My Creative Scrapbook!  Be sure to check out all the gorgeous layouts and projects each of these beautiful talented ladies had made with each of the kits.  You'll find their work in the Design Team Gallery.
