Robbie's Twenty Answers

To refresh your memory, we've asked each member of our illustrious design team to answer a series of 20 questions. In the last installment we learned that one should never allow Liz to select the music for any gathering (The Bee Gees? Really, Liz?) and that she has a tendency to drool.

We pick up our series with Robbie Herring, My Creative Scrapbook's Design Team Coordinator.

1. What is your stupid human trick?

I can put my feet behind my head. (Wow, Robbie. Thanks for sharing. TMI.)

2. Most embarrassing moment?

Ok... don’t be offended if you have a girl with a ‘boy’ name. I was once asked by some friends how I came up with the name Jade. I explained that I had no idea really and that I just loved it. Of course, as I tried to elaborate, I explained that the one thing that I knew was that I'd always hated my name, so I would never name my daughter a ‘boys’ name. Well, guess what I forgot? Their girls were named Charlie and Ryan! I just about died! Thankfully, they thought it was hilarious! Truly though, their girls names are cute and the names suit them. I can’t stand mine!

3. Proudest moment?

It might be a cliché, but it was my kids being born.

4. Nick name or hubby's pet name for you?

Rob. Boring!

5. Worst crime of fashion?

Oh wow! I was a teenager in the 80’s. Can you say 80’s hair and Spritz Forte?

6. Favorite song?

Journey songs would probably be at the top of the list. I love Heart and Stevie Nicks too. You know, I truly can’t name just one song!

7. Favorite movie?

Steel Magnolias.

8. Celebrity crush?

There is NO WAY ON EARTH that I’m answering this!!! If you want to know why, ask Liz Qualman! (We did. And can we just say ew? Really, Robbie?! Bret Michaels?!)

9. Guilty pleasure?

Daily chocolate. Not so bad, but I can be eating it and complaining about my weight in the same sentence. Did you know that if you drink a diet drink with a candy bar that they cancel each other out?

10. Elvis oil painting on velvet, pink lawn flamingo or garden gnomes?

Pink Flamingo

11. Bad habits?

Second guessing myself. No... wait...

12. Dream vacation?

Rome. I want to see the Vatican.

13. Favorite color and why?

Blue. No idea why, but it’s always been the color that I’m most drawn to. In scrapping, judging from my stash, it seems to be green.

14. What are three non-scrap related items you can't live without?

Chocolate, books and a phone. I have to be able to talk to my kids!

15. If you had a super power, what would it be?

The ability to instantly have my house clean. It’s probably not a super power, but it would be so cool!

16. If your life were turned into a movie, who would play you?

Courtney Cox. For some reason (I think dark hair and light eyes) people say that I look like her. I wish!

17. What genre would the movie be?

Probably a comedy.

18. What's the best advice you've ever been given?

Get this... it’s from my mother-in-law! I’m not sure that it qualifies as advice, but certainly it was something that made a big impact. My kids were driving me crazy one day and I was venting. She said to me that it’s not how they act at home, it is how they act in public that shows if you are on the right track. Home is their safe place and where they learn. If they are loved, comfortable and safe, home is where they try on different behaviors for size. So true.

19. Biggest pet peeve?

Splattered toothpaste on a mirror!!! Uggg... drives me crazy!

20. Share something interesting about yourself that most people don't know.

I was a jock in school. Basketball is still a passion. I live for the NCAA tourneys. I LOVE college basketball.
