Hi friends,
This month with the July main kit I decided to use the awesome exclusive cut file to create this fun layout from recent vacation pics from my son. I started by cutting the sun and backing it with the bright yellow dot paper. Then I used a distress oxide in the color scattered straw, which I added with a blending brush to add a nice halo behind the suns placement.
Next I cut the 'Fun in the Sun' file in black and added a white offset. I backed it with some of the fun papers from the kit. Then I mounted my picture on black card stock and then the gorgeous colorful plaid paper. I placed them both quite centrally to the sun on the page. The next step was adding the fun stickers and embellishments which I added in three clusters on the page. I just love the die cut of the beach chair, umbrella and ball!
I finished by adding my journaling and it was quite challenging to find a place for it with this layout. I ended up placing it left offset to the title. This is quite a busy layout but I love how it turned out and it is really such a wonderful kit to play with. I hope you enjoy your kits this month!
