It is time to get those memories off your screens and onto the page! This month at My Creative Scrapbook, we are challenging our design team and our community to work with a versatile new sketch by Laura Creates.
A great sketch is like a roadmap for your creativity—it gives you a solid starting point while leaving plenty of room for your personal style to shine. Whether you’re a fan of the romantic, shabby-chic layers or bold, clean lines, this sketch is a chameleon that adapts to any story you want to tell.

Our designers have taken Laura’s sketch and truly made it their own. Here is a look at how they interpreted the design:
Michele Schmidt: Michele brings a stunning vintage flair to the sketch. We love how she replaced the circular element with a large, ornate pocket watch frame, perfectly complementing the "Live in the Moment" sentiment and those beautiful sepia tones.
Patty McGovern-Pugh: Patty shows us the power of "clean and simple." By using a high-contrast black and white base with pops of primary colors, she proves that the sketch works perfectly for modern, graphic storytelling.
Melissa Minor: This layout is a masterclass in using "white space." Melissa stayed true to the sketch’s circular stitching but kept the background airy, allowing the playful pink accents and the "Dream Big" title to really pop.
Jinny Newlin: Jinny took a whimsical approach by turning the sketch’s circular focus into a hand-drawn, messy-thread heart. The mixed media green "splashes" add a fresh, energetic feel to this romantic Valentine’s page.
Nicole Santos: Nicole’s layout is all about texture. She used a beautiful lace-inspired cameo design to represent the sketch's circle, layering it with soft purple florals that frame the photo with such elegance.
Sandi Clarkson: Sandi doubled the impact by using the sketch to frame two sweet faces. The mix of industrial gears and soft roses creates a "shabby-chic meets steampunk" vibe that is absolutely captivating.
