🎨 Simplified Steps: Card Making with the November Kit
The My Creative Scrapbook November Main Kit makes creating a stack of beautiful cards quick and enjoyable! Follow these three simple steps, demonstrated perfectly by Jeanne Jachna's designs:
1. Cut the Foundation 📐
Choose 2-3 of your favorite patterned papers from the kit (e.g., Plaid, Holly, and Gingerbread).
Cut one piece of paper into a card base layer (e.g., 4" x 5.25").
Cut a second coordinating paper into a smaller layer to sit on top (e.g., 3" x 4.5").
Pro Tip: Use a piece of solid cardstock (white or red from your stash) as the actual card base.
2. Build the Focal Cluster ✨
From the kit's die-cuts, select one main element (like a Poinsettia, a Gingerbread Man, or a Tiny House). This will be your star.
Layer it onto your smaller paper base. Use foam tape behind this main piece to make it stand out!
Tuck in 2-3 small embellishments from the kit around your star—think pine sprigs, holly leaves, or berries—to fill out the design.
3. Add the Greeting & Finish 💌
Select a holiday sentiment strip or die-cut greeting.
Place the greeting directly underneath or slightly overlapping your focal cluster.
For an extra touch, tie a small bow with a piece of ribbon from the kit or add a few scattered enamel dots for shine.
You now have a beautifully layered, professional-looking holiday card, all from one kit!
