 Hi My Creative friends,

I loved creating with this month's kit. For this layout I used the provided sketch to make a holiday layout of my kids and their friends.

I decided to focus on the blue tones for this layout and started with the pretty dark blue floral as a base for the layout layered with white card stock. I stitched around the edges with white thread. Then I used some distress oxide ink in the color Salty Ocean to roughly make a circle and added some splatters on top of the circle in the same color.

Then I used white stitching on my sewing machine to  do three or four laps around the circle not worrying too much about placement to give that messy look. Next I added the rectangle checked paper and the pink and blue borders from the sticker sheet. Then I mounted my pics on blue card stock and adhered them down.

Then I created three clusters on the page focusing on the teal and blue flowers and the gold button accents, which I just adore. I also added some looped gold thread under the clusters for added interest and texture. I wanted the clusters to be dimensional so popped some bits up on foam dots. I finished the layout by adding my journaling which I always print on the computer in a typeface font as I'm not a fan of my handwriting on most layouts.

I love how this layout turned out and had a lot of fun creating it. I would love to see what y'all make this month.
