Hi Friends,
I am super excited to be a guest designer for My Creative Scrapbook for July and work with this absolutely stunning kit. There are so many gorgeous elements included.
Initially when I looked at it, it seemed quite feminine, which is so wonderful for pics of my daughter but I also wanted to create a fun masculine travel layout with this amazing kit.
I started with the gorgeous woodgrain paper to be the base of my layout. I was also drawn to those awesome tickets and thought they would work well with the sketch for this month. I decided to use the sketch, but flip the photos to horizontal.
I cut out the tickets and some other strips of the green paper and sewed them with black thread to white card stock, which I then sewed to the woodgrain base paper. I matted my photos in the same wood paper first though! Once I had my photos placed I fussy cut the explore more title from the cut apart sheet and added some textural stamping underneath it from the fabulous stamp set in the kit. I popped the title up on foam dots for dimension. I also used the stamp kit to make the Happy Day detail on the left of the page to tie in with the color on the title.
I wanted to connect to the black title so picked out some of the darker floral and leaf pieces from the ephemera pack and puffy thickers to make two clusters on the corners of the pictures.
I finished off the layout by adding some of the puffy hearts in blues and blacks and a little splattering of black ink. I really love how this layout turned out and hope you will try a masculine layout using this kit too!
Have an amazing and creative day.
Maree
