Tutorial Layout 4 – September Creative Kit
Hello crafty friends, Claudia here with another
layout for MCS. Today it is all about the September creative kit featuring
Doodlebug Design's latest collection 'Cute and Crafty' which I absolutely
adore. It has so many crafty papers and ephemeras, but can also be used for
other layouts. Let's delve right into the design:
To begin, I chose three patterned papers which
I tore at the edges for a ruffled look. I then prepared a slight mixed media
background with a light blue shade across the middle of the page as I wanted a
horizontal design.
Next, I made three different paper rolls with
the same papers I had chosen for this layout. Then, I put down the three papers
plus a little bit of torn up vellum as a subtle addition. Before I placed my
photo at a slight angle to the right of the horizontal design, I made sure to
adhere my rolled paper underneath which instantly gave the layout dimension.
I then embellished around the photo with
ephemera and a heart-shaped paper clip from my stash. The title sits on a wavy
strip from the sticker sheet and some pink washi:
I added
some pink buttons underneath in a group of three and decided to tuck in some
white tulle around the photo for a feminine touch.
