Announcing our FOUR wonderful returning guest designers!

Welcome back, Guest Designer Audrey Yeager!
My name is Audrey Yeager and I am currently a stay at home mom to Charlotte (6) and Kyler (4).  I spend my days pretending to be a domestic goddess, when actually I am doing some kind of craft project (or playing Candy Crush) while the dishes are piling up in the sink.  I was the recent owner of an online scrapbook store, but decided to close it down so that I could get back into my hobby more!

I have been scrapbooking for about 8 years or so, and I have changed so much in my style and design process over the years.  I am currently loving using my die cutting machine, using bold patterns and colors, and layering and stitching everywhere!  And of course I always have some distressed edges and mist splatters somewhere on my page, too.

In addition to scrapping, I am a big quilter.  I like to switch up the two hobbies to keep me from getting burnt out!  I also love to play volleyball, watch sci-fi movies and TV series, play video games, and the occasional workout or run here and there.

I am so honored to be guest designing for My Creative Scrapbook this month!

Welcome back, Guest Designer Misty Willis!
I am Misty Willis,  a 39 year old mother of five...(3 boys & 2 girls)...aka Mommyof5kidz.   I have been scrapping for over 19 years since I became pregnant with my first child.  My style has changed and evolved over the years, but if I had to put a label on my style, it would be "Clean with Layers".  I have experimented with every technique, medium and new idea out there...but I have found myself to stay true to the clean layered look.   I like to put emphasis on my photos, while utilizing my papers and embellishments in such a way that it helps to convey the story that the photo is trying to tell.   I like to pay attention to the detail.   One thing I stress to new people starting out in scrapping is the importance of journaling.  My journaling is usually hidden behind a photo or tucked away in a secret place within the layout...but I ALWAYS journal.

I do mostly hidden journaling, not because I don't want to share my memories, but because I am VERY LONG WINDED! lol...and I do actually TELL the story.  I believe that the story is important...because when I am 80 with a failing memory, I will NEED those words to jog my memory!

I used to scrap in hopes that someday, when I am gone, my kids will be able to look into their photo albums and know that I loved them with all of my heart. Now, with the death of my oldest son, my scrapping has taken on a whole new purpose.  Scrapbooking my memories is not just a hobby for me, it is my mission.

Welcome back, Guest Designer Kelly Barron!
My name is Kelly and I am so excited to be a guest designer for My Creative Scrapbook. I am married to my best friend Mike, and we are blessed with two teenage children who keep us on our toes!  I have loved all things crafty for as long as I can remember.  My mother taught me how to cross stitch and latch hook, and they both were things that I loved to do throughout my childhood.  I have also dabbled in cake decorating and crochet.  I stumbled upon scrapbooking when my son was born in 2000 and have been in love with the hobby ever since I started.  There is just something so special about playing with pretty papers and embellishments that is just therapy for my soul, with the added bonus of documenting our lives.  My focus in scrapbooking is to document the little things, the everyday moments, and the stories that I don't want to ever forget.  If I am not scrapping, then I am usually reading or knitting. I have a couple of projects on my needles at all times, and always try to keep a small project ready to travel.
