June Main Kit Inspiration with Jodi Wilton

Design Team member Jodi Wilton is featuring our June Main Kit today with several terrific ways to use the camera stamp included in the kit!

--------------------

Hi everyone!

Jodi here today to share with you some neat ways to use your stamp that you received in your MAIN kit this month! I really love using stamps on my projects because they are so versatile AND you can use them over and over again!

The first technique I am going to share with you is using your stamp to create a DIE CUT! That's right! If you love the look of diecutting, but can't afford, or don't have the tools then this is another way to help create some fun embellishments!  Here is the layout I created using the stamp to create the larger die cut camera from:

I absolutely LOVE the cute camera and this is how I created it!

Step One:  I stamped with black ink onto a white piece of cardstock.  I then place this on my printer and enlarged the size by 310%. You can play around with the size that you would like, but I wanted a big camera for this layout! I then printed it off several times

Step Two:  I took one of the photocopied sheets and cut some parts out that I would like to use (the top part and the middle circle) as well as another sheet for the entire camera:

Step Three: I took another sheet and cut more pieces out:

Step Four: I chose my patterned paper from the kit used the pieces I cut out as tracers. I then cut them out with my scissors.  I did find using two circle punches to cut the middle parts out to be a much cleaner cut but it is not required if you don't have circle punches. I then inked around the edges with black ink to give it a more defined look.

Step Five: Assemble!

On my layout I chose to add a sticker to the middle part of the camera too, as well as one of the brads from the kit!:

Here are some other ways I used the camera stamp this month:

On this layout I made a diagonal border with the stamp and used my copics to color them in, in coordinating colors. I added black brads to the center of the cameras:

On another layout I used the camera stamp to create a fun background on some of the background page:

I added punched out little black hearts too!

I hoped you enjoyed this tutorial and that you find that stamps offer so much versatility on all your craft projects! You can come visit my blog for more fun and inspiring techniques and project:  http://luvalotland.blogspot.ca/
