Designing with Washi Tape by Kristine Davidson

Guest Designer Kristine Davidson is continuing the April Main Kit colorful washi strip fun today!

--------------------

Hello Friends! It's Kristine Davidson with you today. I'll be showing you how to create a layout using washi tape in a fun " Paper Like " way! I love circles and of course I love washi tape as well. Sadly my washi tape is more of a collection than a practical embellishment.  This tutorial can be done with strips of paper, the washi tape included in this month's Main Kit or any other washi tape you might have sitting in your stash collecting dust!

First You'll need these simple tools:
Washi tape package from your kit
White Cardstock
Circle Punches ( Sm, Med, Lg)
Pop Dots
Black Journal Pen
Black Ink

The first step is the adhere atleast 3-4 of your washi strips to a piece of white cardstock, include the colors you think go well together or mix and match.

Once your washi is placed on your cardstock, it's time to punch out some circles. I did 4 sizes but you can choose your own if you wish.

Once my circles are cut, it's time to create my layout.
I added 2 yellow srips of the washi on the bottom of my page and I simply cut a few strips from the multi colored striped paper - no paper trimmer!
Add these strips to the bottom of your layout.

Then place your circles on the left hand side of your page. You can use pop dots for this to give your circles dimension.  Once your circles are in place, how about a little doodling!? I am hooked on this right now and it makes creating a page so fun. Amy Tangerine's paper collection is perfect for this! Try It ;-)

I then added my photo, journaling, and title.

This is my finished page! Colorful, fun, full of doodles and WASHI TAPE!

Hope this inspired you to use some of that washi tape and doodle too !
