Creating a Custom Textured Background by Yuko Tanaka

My Creative Scrapbook design team member Yuko Tanaka is up today with a tutorial featuring our November Limited Edition Kit!

Here's Yuko:

How to make a custom textured background:
1.  Spray mists on white cardstock.
 2. Handcraft a template (I used a plastic folder to make mine).
3.  Apply modeling paste to create a textured pattern.
4.  Then choose another stencil and apply PanPastels.

5.  Using a stamp with Distress Ink, stamp randomly on the background.

6. Use your finger to apply a thick amount of SNOWTEX into a shape of a cloud.

 7. Dip a toothbrush into acrylic paints. Use your finger to flick the paint onto the cardstock.

8. Here is the result.
