Hi, Kris Berc here. I made some simple layered flowers for this layout featuring the May Creative kit. The orange layers of the flowers are die cut from the burlap sheet that's included in the kit using some of my thin flower dies with my manual die cutting machine.

The burlap did need a bit of preparation first to stiffen it up enough to make a crisp cut:

First, I cut out 3 squares of the approximate size of my flower dies.

Next, I applied a fairly thick layer of mod podge.

Then I used a high-tech (LOL) apparatus to hang them to dry.
Once dry, the burlap was able to be die cut easily and without fraying.

Then I added other embellishments from the kit- buttons, stickers, premade flowers, etc. to build a fun cluster on my layout.
