Embellishment Techniques by Angel Rodrigue

Hello!  Design Team member Angel Rodrigue is back today to share some wonderful embellishment techniques that she used with the October kits.

Here's Angel...

This is how I made this Butterfly....

I used the Following two pieces of Green Ribbon one cut at 3 1/2 and one at two inches.A small piece of the white ribbon enough to wrap center. I used a small flower punch (not sure the name) Flower Stamin and white liquid pearl and the Velvet Trinkets from the Kit.

Gather the two Pieces Of green ribbon together and wrap the wite ribbon in the center as shown in the picture. You will want to glue the white ribbon in the back.

Wrap the stamin in the back glue this down to form your antennas. Turn the ribbon good side up and glue down the Velvet trinket.

Now punch out a flower and using a stylus rub the center on a foam matt to make it puff up . Add a dot of white liquid pearl to the center and glue on top the velvet trinket. You can cut your wings the shape you want it I did a round curve in mine. Also your will want to burnish the ends with a lighter to prevent fraying..

To make My Flower Cluster Here...

I took the Flower apart and folded two pieces like below...

Then Tucked it in the sides of my full Flower pieces..

I really like how you folded the flowers in your flower cluster. It really gives the page a lot of dimension.
