Hi everyone,
Claire here, with a fun layout using the September 2025 Main Kit. I love the
versatility of this kit and here I’m documenting a crafty retreat I attended with my
Mum several years ago.
Of course, I immediately fell in love with the ruler paper so set about fussy cutting
each ruler to rearrange them in the design shown to create a framed outline on my
page.
I was careful to echo each colour in both corners to help the layout feel cohesive and
balanced.
I chose not to mount my photos, instead printing them with a white border and using
tags fussy cut from the tag paper to anchor them into the design. I love the pop of
colour and pattern each tag brings. I added twine from my stash in coordinating
shades for extra texture.
This kit has so many fun icons to embellish with and so many of them worked for a
crafty layout, so I pulled out scissors, clue, pens, pencils, notebooks, glasses and
that beautiful typewriter, adding them into each corner. We had so many tools at this
crafty retreat, these icons were the perfect fit!
To finish the layout, I just had to use the ‘Learn’ title as the class was run by Vicki
Boutin, so we were there to learn from the best!!
And with that, the layout is complete.
