How to Create a Grungy Look by Liz Chidester

My Creative Scrapbook design team member Liz Chidester is up today with some tips for going grungy featuring our February Creative Kit!

Hello! We all have our unique style when it comes to paper crafting. I consider mine to be clean and calculated. I thought I would step out of my comfort zone and create a page with a grungy look to match the effect on my photo.

There are many ways to get a grungy look. Ink and paints are a few of the essential medias to use. Before adding any photos or paper, I inked the edged of my background paper and dry brushed the center with an off-white paint. I then flicked black paint for a bold look.

The Creative kit comes with a pack of red, glittered Thickers which include extra stars and dots. Use those!
I scattered mine around my photo for a nice pop of color.

Grab some of your various stamps and stamp in areas that might need  "a little something" including off the corners and edges of your layout.

The best part of going a little grungy is the creative, messy part. Have fun with it!
