Aged Paper Edges Tutorial by Sandie Edwards

Happy Friday! My Creative Scrapbook Design Team member Sandie Edwards has an awesome tutorial to share today featuring our April Limited Edition kit.

Here's Sandie:

I adore the look of paper that has been aged, and would like to share a simple method of achieving this by applying water.

1. Use a clean paint brush to apply water to all edge of the paper you are wanting to age. I find it best to wet both sides, so that the paper is fairly saturated.

2. While paper is wet, use fingers to push and press into shape.

3. Work along all edges in this manner, adding more water if needed as you work along the edges. It does not matter if you tear the paper at all, it just adds to the aged ‘look’.

4. Scroll corners upwards and inwards, as pictured.

5. Use a heat gun to aid in drying time, making sure you dry both sides of the paper. Drying both sides of the paper will help in eliminating paper warping – rotate from front to back finishing with the back.

6. Apply distress ink lightly to all dry edges highlighting the wrinkles to complete.
